This is my last theme project. It is a lidded project that is only 2 inches tall and 2 inches wide. It has a smooth texture with a red stain on the top, in the middle of the flower, and as a lining on the top of the base. It also has a black stain that has a grayish tint to it. I also put glass in the bottom to give it depth. It juxtaposes the idea of a small project when you open it up to see the illusion of a large inside. I am really proud of this project and all of my projects in ceramics.

This is another choice project I made. It is the first thing I have made out of porcelain. It is a cup that is about 3 inches tall by 4 inches wide. It has a very smooth texture and was really soft to mold with. I used a clear glaze around the cup and then dripped on the cobalt blue glaze. I also meshed blue and green glass at the bottom of the cup to make the cup look like the drips were running down into a pool. I plan to use my cup as more of a decorative piece because of the glass at the bottom but am excited with the overall outcome of the project for its sense of movement.

This is my choice project! It is about 3 inches tall and 5 inches wide. It has a smooth clay texture and a smooth glass texture at the bottom. I used a purple and pink stain to write "# 1 teacher" and "I love Robin!" Its glass of the bottom looks just like a gem, which she is a gem to me! I love this bowl and cant wait to give it to her!!

This is my Hand and wheel project. It is about 4 inches tall and about 3 inches wide. I used a pink stain for the top pieces and a black glaze for the base of the project. I weaved three strips of clay together, almost like a braid, to create a handle for the cup. I then added four strips of clay coming out the cup to make it look like the stuff inside was spilling over. I also did not foot the bottom of the cup to give it a different style. Its texture is smooth and also a little bumpy. It has the style of movement because of the spilling over point of view.

This is my Teapot. It is about 7 inches tall and about 5 inches wide. It has a dark blue stain undercoat and a clear over coat. I used dashed lines to give the project movement and I wrote the words Tea Party on it to give it character. My parents make tea all the time and I am super excited to show them the new teapot I have made for them to use. The texture is smooth but if I could have done it I would have made my teapot out of porcelain. And If I could change one thing I would make my spout point more upwards so I could fill the pot with more water.

This is a choice project that is about 4 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide. It is bigger at the top and goes down like a cone towards the bottom. it has a very smooth texture and I planned to keep it simple, only using a light black glaze. I have added the husky design and the universities letters UW as well as "Go Dawgs!" and "# 1 Fan" to the side of the cup! I am going to give it to my dad for christmas and I cant wait to see what he thinks. I am so happy and lucky to have a dad like him and I know this will make him really happy!

This is my lidded project. It is around 8 inches tall and about 5 1/2 inches wide. It has a lined texture curved in a spiral that goes all the way up the project. It also has blue glass on top of the lid to add more texture and beauty to the project. I choose to use a blue glaze to give the project a winter theme. The snowflake design on the top of the lid also helps to add character. I plan to use this to hold my hair ties, ear

This is another theme project. It is about 1 1/2 inches tall and less than 1 inch wide. It has a black stain that covers the handles, rim, middle, and bottom of the cup. Its handles give the vase a smaller look and its black stain gives the vase movement. It does not have any clear glaze on it so this piece has two different textures as well. This starbucks cup is the small version and it is meant to show its height in comparison to my small vase.

This is my next theme project! It is a mini bowl with two little handles on it. It is about 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. I have dug in snowflake designs to add more movement to the bowl. I have also used a purple stain to go inside the cracks and on the handles as well as a clear glaze over the whole thing. The stain turned out a light winter blue which helps tie in to the season. The small snowflakes, handles, and carvings on the lid of the project create the perfect theme of smallness.

This is another theme project. It is 4 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide. It has a white glaze as an under coat which slowly fades from bottom to top. It also has a dark red glaze overtone. Its texture is not grainy but smooth and rigid. The red was originally raped around the handle as swirls to give it a candy cane look but instead it dripped down. It now gives it an unsymetrical look by the big handle on the small cup with most of the color on the handle.
